Left side of black and white spread
Right side of black and white spread from the challenge journal.

Just a hint: when one is using a Sharpie paint marker, one should make sure it's dry before rubbing hand across page.

#73 of 365 (March 14)

Beginning of a background spread in a themed black and white journal. Ignore the messy blotches, they'll be covered with penwork soon.

Using just these two colors is really a stretch for me! This journal is a challenge by a friend from the local craft store... to make a strictly black and white journal, and then once it's done she is going to show us how to make it colorful.

#61 of 365 (March 2)

Playing with Oil pastels and walnut ink (spray) for a technique swap on atcsforall.com hosted by my friend and fellow 365-er, Joss. These probably won't be in the swap... but they are closer to what I wanted.
This is the third type of ink I tried, by the way. Experimenting was fun, if a bit frustrating at moments. :)

You can check out how to do the technique here.
